Amazement and then Anger

The girls had their orchestra concert tonight. I am so proud of them.

Alexis said that she messed up in one of the songs, and even pointed out where. Knowing when you've screwed up is just as important as knowing that you nailed a piece dead-on, in my opinion.

Sat with Jeff and his family at both the concert and dessert reception. I almost invited them out to eat with us afterward, but I wasn't sure if they had other plans.

Went out to King's Buffet with dad and Cindy after the concert. That was enjoyable.

I was supposed to get a couch from Jodi tonight, but it was too late when we got home. We're going to try again tomorrow.

I get home and start to cuddle with the girls, and see small scratches all over their bodies. Turns out the cat at Dan's house attacked both of them while they were there over the weekend. I contacted him about it, and this was the ensuring conversation.

Dan: she had been told to leave the cat alone and got into the cats face. That cat has never scratched me, and is not violent as Dante was. Dante scratched the kids without any provocation. The scratches were treated and she is fine.

Kara Peregrine: Have you SEEN all the scratches on her?

Kara Peregrine: She is covered head to toe.

Dan: I am heading to bed and those were not from the cat as far as I know, we played at the park today and they rolled down the sled hill. It is not as if they have never came here with bumps and bruises and stuff and even said you laughed when the dog tried to molest them, I am going to bed, goodnight.

Kara Peregrine: And yes, kids are going to get injured, it's a part of life. However, when the thing causing the injury is the responsibility of another party, it is that party's responsibility to ensure that it doesn't happen.

Kara Peregrine: You are also continuing to fail to provide me with proof of your income so I can have the divorce papers filed. Why are you stalling? You have been asked for them several times.

It's so frustrating, dealing with someone who refuses to address issues, even when it has something to do with the kids. How hard would it have been to put the cat in the bathroom for the weekend or something, especially
